And this is maybe just the frustrated part of me talking, but..

.. finding a church home is like dating awkwardly. You want to see what's out there and find the one God means for you to make a life with. But you feel like a jerk when you spend a day at one and don't want to come back. It's not you, it's me.. ugh.

birthday stuff

My birthday was a couple of days ago. It was weird being away from everyone in Georgia! I woke up not really sure what to do (so naturally I migrated to the couch and turned on my favorite historical drama, The Tudors).

Since it was such a beautiful day, I played with the 2 German Shepherd pups (Walker & T.R.!) for almost 2 hours in the park. I love those puppies! Then for dinner we had a low country boil (my favorite!) from a local seafood vendor who drives to the beach twice a week to get the freshest seafood. M made me brownies and K iced them.. delicious!

Today:

.. emailed friends to catch up.
.. got even more excited (not sure that was possible) for the Chi O Winter Reunion 2010 in Atlanta next weekend!!!
.. fabulous landlord is coming to investigate some sounds our washer is making.
.. we're returning almost $100 worth of DirecTV crap and getting that money back (never have I ever experienced such awful customer service or a sadder attempt at professionalism)!
.. M has a dance recital in Augusta and we'll be attending!
.. we have free Showtime with our plan and so I will be snuggling up on the couch with my guilty pleasure, the Tudors.
